| Access Control |
| Multi Level Access |
| The e-Capsule™ Private Safe application allows to define up to four usage profiles (Administrator,
Public, Private and Shred) with separate access credentials, each enabling a different set of functional or logical operations. |
| Access Level Concealment |
| The login procedure is executed in a completely stealth or concealed mode, i.e. in such a way that
an external observer will never be able to distinguish between an access done at the Administrator, Public, Private or Shred levels,
thereby obscuring from third parties the actual entry point to the encrypted file system. |
| Strong Credential Security |
| The e-Capsule™ Private Safe application allows choosing login credentials much longer than usual passwords
(which are typically from 4 to 8 characters long). The e-Capsule™ strong credentials are in the form of strings with up to 255
characters, containing any case sensitive character (including spaces and symbols). |
| Virtual Keyboard |
| The e-Capsule™ Virtual Keyboard is a displayed computer keyboard that can be operated using mouse clicks
rather than by depressing a PC keyboard physical keys. The Virtual Keyboard protects the users' credentials from sniffing by key
logging malware. |
| The e-Capsule™ file system allows storing any number of files and folders inside a proprietary encrypted
file system which can be kept on any storage device attached to a PC. |
| Not exposed to operating system |
| The e-Capsule™ file system is not based on the widely known NTFS or FAT32 structures, but utilizes a new
extended and encrypted structure which is totally meaningless to the PC operating system, to external processes and to other
applications. |
| Block Level AES-256 encryption |
| The e-Capsule™ file system implements strong AES-256bit encryption at the block level, i.e. it
doesn't encrypt a file as a single identifiable unit, but rather it performs encryption at the level of the smallest contiguous
set of bits or bytes that forms an identifiable unit of data. |
| Extended Attributes |
| The flexible structure of the e-Capsule™ file system allows attaching to any file or folder a set of
extended attributes which can be used to regulate or track usage. |
| Audit Log |
| The e-Capsule™ file system allows tracking usage of all the stored data by providing the Administrator
with a complete log of the actions performed on the files/folders at all access levels. This log can be exported and used for
auditing purposes. |
| Stealth Digital Shredding |
| It is absolutely impossible to recover any trace of a file or folder once it is deleted from
the e-Capsule™ file system. Accessing the application using the Shred login credentials causes the immediate, stealth and
permanent destruction of all the file system's contents. |
| File/Folder Management |
| Shielded Browsing |
| The security of the sensitive data stored in the e-Capsule™ file system is never handed over to the operating
system of the PC even when browsing inside of the file system, since the data is kept encrypted at all times and the file
system structure is unknown to the operating system. |
| Drag & Drop Operations |
| The e-Capsule™ file system supports standard drag & drop operations for moving files to/from
external application windows. |
| File/Folder Upload & Shred |
| This feature allows uploading files to the e-Capsule™ file system and digitally shredding the
originals with one single instruction. |
| File/Folder Backup & Restore |
| This feature allows selecting from the e-Capsule™ file system which files/folders to save as
external encrypted backup containers, which can be later used for recovering damaged or lost data. |
| iSecure View/Edit |
The e-Capsule™ Private Safe application allows displaying and editing the content of files without the need to share clear
(non-encrypted) data with other external applications. The following is a list of the file formats for which the Secure View
and Secure Edit functions are currently supported by the internal e-Capsule™ application modules:

| Safe Editing |
| Opening or editing a file stored in the e-Capsule™ file system using external applications inevitably
exposes the information contained in the file to a possible breach of confidentiality or even to malicious infections. The Safe
Editing feature helps minimize risks by controlling the location of clear temporary files (which are digitally shredded after usage)
and by automatically uploading the modified files to their original locations inside of the e-Capsule™ file system. |
| Seamless decrypt/encrypt |
| The decryptions/encryptions operations required before and after the Safe Editing sessions are performed
in a mode totally seamless to the user. |
| File Monitor |
