The instruction below will guide you on how to De-Activate an installed and activated e-Capsule™ HD product. Click here, for instructions on how to Activate the e-Capsule™ HD product following your purchase. 1. To start the deactivation process, you will need to launch the protect.exe application
located in the folder where the e-Capsule™ application was installed.
2. A Protection System window will open as shown in the example below. Choose the option to Deactivate application and click Next: 5a. You will be sure that the deactivation was successful when you see a
dialog window with the Deactivation Code as shown below.
IMPORTANT: It's your responsibility to save the Deactivation Code and Serial
Number. In fact, you will need these codes to reactivate the e-Capsule™
HD product on a different PC.
5b. If the deactivation procedure outlined above fails, you will get an Error message
describing the reason of failure, similar to the one below:
6. By clicking OK, a window displaying your Hardware Code
will appear as in the example below:
7. Copy and store somewhere the Hardware Code and click Help.
Then a Contact Information window will open. Click WWW to access the
Web page where you will be able to perform a manual deactivation of the product:
In case you are working offline, just make sure to retain a copy of both the Serial Number and of the Hardware Code. To complete the manual deactivation procedure you will then need to access the Web page indicated in the Contact Information window using a PC connected to the Internet (in this example the page address is: http://proactive.star-force.com/2.0). In this page, paste the Serial Number and the Hardware Code in the corresponding input fields and press Get Deactivation Key: You will now be shown a Deactivation Code then. Write down this code to use it along with the Serial Number for further e-Capsule™ product reactivation. IMPORTANT: It's your responsibility to save the Deactivation Code
and Serial Number. In fact, you will need these codes to reactivate
the e-Capsule™ HD product on a different PC.
