Security is a chain. It's strength lies in the weakest link of the chain.
Software is a set of procedures, generally controlled via a human interface, executed by a computing machine to attain a specific result. Good security software is a chain whose weakest link generally lies in the people who use it. This should not come as a surprise, as people's behaviors and values are naturally recognized to determine the ultimate level of business performance in all aspects of a corporation's structure. All too frequently, strong security measures fail because users cannot be brought to follow the required and expected procedures. Standard information security measures are no exception to this rule. EISST has placed prime attention to usability and standard information management practices to ensure that its products' requirements are not taxing on the users. Particular care was devoted to the design of the graphical user interface and to the business rules implementation in order to have the smallest learning barrier to the security software and procedures. | ||||||||||||||||
